Special Olympics Texas Fire Truck Pull Houston
On Saturday October the 26 Houston, TX held the Special Olympics Texas Fire truck pull competition in Meyeland Plaza. This is the ultimate tug-of-war with a 63,000 lb. fire truck in support of Special Olympics Texas athletes. The event was hosted by the Bellaire Police Department and Bellaire Fire Department. The Master of Ceremonies was none other than Houston DJ Sam Malone.
People from all over Houston gathered to help this fundraising cause. With high attendance the teams were separated into 2 brackets civilian and public safety. Each team was given 2 chances to pull the truck and averaging the times to see who was the fastest. The Metro Fire team took home second place in the public division.
We would like to thank everyone who showed up and supported the Texas Special Olympics. If you would like to be a part of the fun next year just click here to sign up or donate.
